Enter **MegaNova AI**—the 2026 breakout inference provider optimized specifically for creative, raw, and unfiltered storytelling.

### **Prerequisites**

- A working installation of **SillyTavern** (Desktop or Android/Termux).
- A free account on the **MegaNova AI** platform.

## **Step-by-Step Connection Guide**

1. **Grab Your MegaNova API Key:** 1 Minute.

Log into your MegaNova AI dashboard. Navigate to the **API Keys** section, click **Generate New Key**, and copy the string to your clipboard.

1. **Configure the API in SillyTavern:** 1 Minute.

Open SillyTavern and look at the top-right toolbar. Click the **Plug** icon (API Connections menu). 

Change the **API Type** dropdown from "OpenAI" or "Text Completion" to **Chat Completion**.

1. **Input the Custom Proxy Settings:** 2 Minutes.

Under the **Reverse Proxy** checkbox (or custom endpoint field), enter the following address into the **Base URL** field:  
https://inference.meganova.ai/v1/chat/completions

Next, paste your MegaNova API key into the **API Key** slot.

1. **Select Your Roleplay Model:** 1 Minute.

Click the **Refresh/Connect** button next to the URL. SillyTavern will verify the connection. Once connected, open the **Model** dropdown menu and type or select your desired model (e.g., meganova-ai/manta-mini-1.0 or deepseek-v4-flash).

**Crucial 2026 Pro-Tip:** 

MegaNova uses advanced context caching. To avoid burning through your token limits or hitting daily allowance throttles, keep your SillyTavern context size stabilized (e.g., 8k to 16k tokens) rather than constantly fluctuating, which forces hard cache misses and slows down response times.
