A Space Built for Creative Freedom

Most AI chat platforms come with friction, strict moderation, limited character tools, or systems that make you feel like you’re borrowing someone else’s character instead of shaping your own. MegaNova Chat aims to remove that friction. Your chats stay private, your characters belong to you, and the platform gives you room to build the experience you actually want.

You can even chat without an account as a guest if you just want to explore quickly. Guest users can try models and characters instantly.

But some features — like the NSFW toggle — require signing in for safety reasons.

Once you create an account, the full experience opens up, including mature content controls and the ability to save your chat history long-term.

Starting Your Journey in the Beta

The beta has a simple message system designed to let you explore freely while keeping everything predictable:

• Guest users: 10 messages total
• Signed-in users: 50 RPD per free model

This means you can try the platform immediately as a guest, and once you’re ready to dive deeper, creating an account gives you enough room to run multiple scenes or maintain ongoing storylines without interruption.

Early Character Creation Tools

One of the strongest parts of MegaNova Chat is how much control you have over shaping a character’s identity. When you create one, you’re not simply entering a name — you’re defining how they speak, what they care about, how they react, and the world they come from.

The character creator guides you through every important element: an avatar, a short description that sets their vibe, a greeting that shapes the first moment of interaction, personality details, backstory, and a scenario to drop users directly into your world. You can go simple or incredibly detailed — the platform adapts to whatever depth you provide.

If you already have characters on another site, you don’t have to start from zero. MegaNova Chat supports importing PNG character cards and JSON files, allowing the name, avatar, personality, and behavior to transfer instantly. Once imported, you can refine or expand their design however you like.

Sharing, Privacy, and Discovery

Every creator has different intentions for their characters. Some want to share them publicly, some want to keep them private, and others want characters that are accessible only through a direct link. MegaNova Chat gives you full control over these visibility settings.

You can also choose whether your character’s personality details — the prompt, scenario, and example dialogues — are visible or hidden. It’s entirely up to you whether you want others to learn from your format or keep your creative method private. Tags help with discovery and ensure that characters appear in the right places without misleading users.
